Privacy

No analytics, no cookies, no tracking — and one column of the source register that never gets through the door.

What this site does not publish

The Environment Agency register gives a full street address and postcode for each registration. 44 % of the 418,521 registrations are individuals — sole traders, for whom that address is normally their home.

Both the street address and the full postcode are removed while the source file is read, before anything is written to a database. They are on no page, in no search index, and in no dataset we sell. The finest location anywhere on this site is the postcode district such as RG8, which covers several thousand addresses. A full postcode identifies about fifteen; that is the line, and it is why the district is where we stop.

The reason is what publishing would create rather than reproduce. The source serves these addresses one at a time, behind a form, with not one of them in its sitemap. A fast, indexed site would turn the same facts into something the register is not: a way to look up where a named individual lives.

What your browser sends

No analytics, no advertising, no cookies, no third-party scripts. Static files only.

Your search never reaches a server. It lives in the part of the address after the #, which browsers do not transmit, and the lookup runs in your browser against static index files. We cannot see what you searched for, because it is not sent.

The host, Cloudflare Pages, keeps ordinary server logs — IP address, time, file requested — as any host does. We have no per-visitor analytics and do not run any.

If you send us a message

Two forms here collect an e-mail address: a waste collection requirement, and a bulk access or dataset enquiry. Both are handled by Formspree, which forwards them to our mailbox.

Ask us to delete what you sent and we will, at the contact address.

If you are on the register

Your registration is a public fact and we republish it as the Environment Agency does, minus your street address and full postcode. If you believe something here is wrong, or identifies you beyond what the register itself makes searchable, write to us and we will look at it the same week.
